Stock Photo Resources for Your Music Therapy Business

My Favorite Stock Photo Resources

I’m in the midst of hosting the #MusicTherapyBlogger Challenge, and I am sharing my blog posts right along with the participants. This week, I wanted to share some of my favorite resources that makes my life a little bit easier.

A little background — I’m a very visual person. I love pairing fonts and viewing beautiful typography and hand lettering. I love how colors work and blend together. I love designing my own graphics for my website and my blog posts. I think this is the main reason why I love Pinterest and Instagram, two very visual social media platforms.

Images can tell your story in a way that words sometimes cannot.

One of my favorite websites is 123rf.com. It’s my go-to photo resource and definitely makes my life a little bit easier. 123rf.com features royalty-free images, illustrations, audio, and video footage that you can use on your website, social media, marketing materials, videos, products, and much more without attributing to the original artist.

You can purchase a single subscription (pricey!) or you can purchase credits (this is what I do!) to download images. Typically, each image can cost anywhere from 1-5 credits, all depending on the size. I like to download intermediate sized images so that I can use them in a wealth of places (website, social media, brochures, flyers, marketing banners, etc.).

Stock photos can be horribly un-natural (in fact, Vince Vaughn makes that very clear here), so finding gems on 123rf.com is refreshing.

If you would rather stick to FREE resources, here are some other amazing resources for stock photography:

I hope you find these resources will help make YOUR life a little bit easier.
